The Equipment Type Equivalent form enables you to add and edit an equipment type equivalent and associate equivalent items. You can also use the Actions Copy Reference Set (on page 1) option to copy equipment type equivalents defined in an existing entity set.

To add or edit an equipment type equivalent:

1. In the Substitution Group Id field, enter an ID that uniquely identifies the equipment type equivalent.

2. From the Direction drop-down list, select one of the following direction for the equipment type equivalent:

• Receive: For receiving equipment (full containers and chassis) against an order (booking, ERO, or rail order)

• Dispatch: For delivering equipment (empty containers and chassis) against an order (booking, EDO, or rail order)

3. Optionally, from the Line Operator lookup field, select the line operator to associate with the equipment type equivalent.

If you do not associate a line operator with an equipment type equivalent, it is treated as a generic equipment type equivalent and extends all other equipment type equivalents that are associated with line operators.

4. Click Save.

You must save the equipment type equivalent before you can add equivalent items for the equipment type equivalent.
